Born into the great city of Harare, Kudzai Sevenzo is the last-born in a family of 7 children (5 girls, 2 boys), Kudzai learnt at a young age how to deal with crowds.

She began singing as early as 5 years old with her Garden Grove Nursery report card showing: “Good – enjoys the singing activities very much – has been the school’s lead solo singer”. She attended Courtney Selous Junior school  and Chisipite Senior School as a boarder.

She was actively involved in athletics and hockey at high school, as well as the school choir. She formed a singing group with 3 of her friends, called “SAIT”, which was an abbreviation for all their names. They would perform at school functions and a few weddings, however, due to pressure of exams, they had to disband.
